THE LEGION SPL.

One day in 2004 I was changing the oil in my pick up. the oil I bought was Havoline, and they were celebrating there 100 year anniversary. So on the bottle was a cool illustration of a vintage single seat race car. I thought it was neat I kept one of the bottles and put it on a shelf. every time I looked at the bottle the little car intrigued me more and more. Then one day I went to my friend Brian's shop and he had a Toyota 2tc motor on and engine stand. it was the coolest little motor I had ever seen and I had to have it. After Brian agreed to part with the motor the wheels started turning, because in the back yard I had a 27 Nash 2 door sedan that I got from my buddy Dave. The car had previously been owned by an inn in Wisconsin called the White Horse Inn (that's were the horse logo came from) it been completely taken apart, down to the body which was in 5 pieces. I formulated A plan to build a little one man modified inspired by the Havoline bottle. I drew a sketch of the car in 2006, and mocked it up a few times, but my business was expanding and I moved my shop twice in one year, the little body found its way onto a shelf so I would stop cutting my pants on the sharp edges when I walked by it, and the 2tc went in another car. Then one Day Kirk Jones walked in and saw it up in the rafters and........you'll have to buy the new Street Rodder to find out what happened next.
